I am a young lady who seeks a Personal Assistant/Carer in the Wilmslow, SK9 area. To provide 1:1 care to access the community outside the home, and sometimes to stay with me in the home. I have complex physical and developmental needs, and it will be necessary to help me with personal care.

Hours and pay: 15 hours per week £14.25 per hour. Alternate weekends, some evenings and school holidays. There is some flexibility over days and times.

Main Duties:

  • Take me out bowling or other events in the evening.
  • Take me to a café or shopping on occasional weekend days.
  • Take me on occasional outings further afield at the weekend, for example a trip to the seaside or wildlife/nature park.
  • Assist me to access the outdoors with wheelchair walks or walks using my walking frame.
  • Assist with my personal care.
  • Administer medication where prescribed.
  • In the event of a seizure, follow the Epilepsy Management Plan.

The main duties identified in the job description are examples of the expectations required; there may be occasions where you are reasonably requested to provide additional activities to be undertaken inside or outside of the home.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through your employer. My assistant must be able to drive and have a full clean driving licence (car available).
