Overview
You will be supporting a 26-year-old lady with Aicardi Syndrome who lives at home with her parents, younger brothers and her 2 cocker spaniels. The young lady has epilepsy, so the candidate will need to be buccal trained; training can be provided. The young lady requires constant supervision. This is a waking night role where you will spend time with her watching films or playing games/jigsaws before she settles to bed. She enjoys watching films, listening to music and sometimes she can stand and have a little dance.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: There are aspects of personal care involved in this role including showering, dressing and support using the bathroom. The employer will provide any necessary training.
- Medication: You will be required to support with medication needs as instructed in the care plan. The employer will provide any necessary training.
- Domestic Care: Cleaning and general maintenance of the home, preparing snacks and drinks.
- To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required.
