Hourly Rate of Pay: £15.00 PH

Job Purpose
I am looking for a waking night personal assistant to support my 4-year-old son for 2 nights per week. My son has severe hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and cerebral palsy. He uses a CPAP machine to support his breathing and a CEF (continuous enteral feeding) throughout the night which requires changing at 00:00.
Main duties
Main duties include supporting the young boy throughout the night to ensure his parents can have a good night rest. Full training will be provided on all aspects of his care needs including CPAP, medication, suctioning and feed changes.

Be patient and supportive.
Be friendly and outgoing.
Be honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
Be respectful of the child’s dignity, at all times.
Understand the need for privacy and confidentiality.
You should have a thorough understanding of personal safety.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and raise any concerns with the parents immediately.
A willingness to undergo any training highlighted by the employer.
