Personal Support Assistant for Leisure Activities
I am a 7 year old boy who is looking for a Personal Assistant who will take me swimming and out in the community to socialise. I live in Merthyr and would like to have a little more independence and for someone to spend 3 hours a week with me during school time and 6 hours a week in the school holidays. I have global development delay and speech and language difficulties. I also use a wheelchair which is foldable for transport in the car. I love swimming and would like to go to the local leisure centre to swim as it really helps to strengthen my legs and will help my mobility in the long term.
Tasks and Duties:
- Help me be more sociable and confident.
- Some personal care, changing.
- Take me swimming.
- Be patient and help me develop independence.
- Use a car; a vehicle is essential.
Working Hours / Pay:
£14.00 per hour. 3 hours per week during term time; 6 hours per week during school holidays.
Type of Person Required:
- DBS check required (cost covered).
- A person with a background in childcare, additional needs.
- A car and full drivers licence.
Training:
Full training will be provided in house.
About the Job:
Salary frequency – Calendar Monthly or Fortnightly – By BACS. Successful applicant will be subject to a three-month trial period. DBS check will be required; this will be at no cost to yourself.
