The Opportunity: FSQ Ingredients and Product Manager - Acting as the first point of contact for both suppliers and customers regarding technical queries and compliance.
What you will contribute:
- Manage the flow of all raw materials and finished products, ensuring they meet the rigorous quality and safety standards.
- Conduct and update risk assessments covering allergens, microbiological, chemical, physical and vulnerability aspects to ensure the integrity of all raw materials and finished products.
- Onboard new suppliers, reviewing manufacturing controls and ensuring all necessary documents are accessible and up to date.
- Lead the HACCP and Food Defence Teams, ensuring robust systems are maintained and driving improvements in safety processes.
- Work with NPD to review and approve new ingredients and specifications for new launches.
- Responsible for Food Safety, Quality, Legality and Hygiene across all Bread production plants, managing a team of FSQ Specialists across 4 shifts.
- Oversee the management of customer complaint investigations, reporting and trending.
- Oversee the management of internal audits; including system, GMP and GWP audits, supporting where necessary.
- Coordinate sampling schemes and laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance and calibration.
What you will bring / Essential Experience:
- Supplier auditing experience in the food industry with previous leadership or supervisory responsibilities in a FSQ setting.
- Specification writing experience.
- Extensive knowledge of HACCP.
- Risk assessment and management.
- Working knowledge of BRC and major retailer standards.
- Leading in 3rd party audits to build on current compliance platform.
