I am a 6-year-old boy living with my twin brother, mum, and dad. I attend school full-time where I enjoy learning and gaining new skills. I was born prematurely, which caused health and development issues, including a brain deformity that impacts how I learn and affects my fine and gross motor skills. Repetition of skills really helps me, and I thrive in a calm environment. I have autism and I am PEG fed, requiring supervision at all times. My verbal communication is very limited, but I can use certain singular words and gestures to communicate my needs. I am currently undergoing further assessments to better understand my cognitive and health needs.
I love playing and climbing (although my balance is sometimes not great!), music, and often like to sing. I enjoy sensory spaces and relaxing in comfy areas with pretty lights and music playing. I love swimming and interact well with adults. I need encouragement to build on my social skills with other children. I find comfort in familiar routines and environments but can be adaptable as long as I am prepared for any changes. I need help with sharing, staying safe, trying new activities, and my personal care. I respond best to positive praise, clear expectations, and gentle guidance. I can be distressed by busy areas and may try to run towards something that looks interesting.

Tasks and Duties
The role of my Personal Assistant (PA) is vital in supporting me to access daily life experiences that my peers enjoy. I need a kind, calm, and consistent adult who can help me during school holidays and term time. This includes helping me transition to and from activities, supporting me to play safely, and encouraging me to explore my interests through community activities and structured social opportunities. Your support will also give my parents some much-needed respite.
As my PA, you will work 3 hours a fortnight or 6 hours a month during term time. During school holidays, you will work 12 hours per week (days and times can be flexible). You'll need to be patient and adaptable, able to use tools like visual timetables, Now and Next boards, and calming strategies to help me regulate my emotions and feel secure.

- 20 miles a week to claim at £0.40 pence per mile
