I am a 13‑year‑old young boy looking for a Personal Assistant. I have a diagnosis of ASD and epilepsy, and I reside in the Merthyr area with my mother. I am non‑verbal and able to use singular words to express my wants and needs. Within school, I can use PECs; however, I can become frustrated when adults are unable to understand what I am trying to communicate. Sometimes I can display challenging behaviours, and using minimal words and allowing me to have some space helps in these situations. I am unable to use the toilet independently; therefore, I will need support with my personal care needs and wear pads. I can get easily distracted and have no road safety awareness or any sense of danger, so ensuring my safety when out in the community is very important to remember.

Working Hours / Rate of Pay:

£15 PER HOUR plus mileage to be claimed at £0.40 ppm

6 hours per week non‑term time

10 hours per week school holidays

Additional Information:

Successful applicants will be subject to a three month trial period. A DBS check will be required, this will be at no cost to yourself. Over 18 years of age.
