The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll keep the distribution side of the business running smoothly, from receiving incoming stock through to loading vans and getting orders out the door on time. You’ll work across the full warehouse operation, reporting into the warehouse supervisor, with occasional cover for driving duties when the team needs it. This is a really exciting time to be joining the Warehouse Operations at All Purpose, with new Warehouse Management software on the horizon.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Receive, check and code incoming stock, flagging anything damaged or short
  • Pick and pack orders for both carrier deliveries and in‑house drivers
  • Help load vans and get drivers out on time
  • Unload deliveries safely using the forklift
  • Complete daily forklift safety checks
  • Carry out regular stock counts to keep inventory accurate
  • Keep the warehouse and yard clean, tidy and safe
  • Cover driving duties when needed

What You’ll Bring

Essential
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • A clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work on your feet throughout the day
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate stock handling
Useful, not essential
  • A current forklift licence (counterbalance or reach) – training available if not held
  • Experience with stock control systems
  • A background in foodservice, catering or hospitality supply
