A reliable, respectful, and adaptable Personal Assistant (PA) / Support Worker is required to provide flexible, person‑centred support to an adult with physical disabilities living independently. The role combines home‑based support, community access, and light cleaning tasks, adjusted weekly based on needs. One main PA and one backup PA/support worker are sought to ensure consistency and flexibility.

This position suits a calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent individual who can work in a quiet, respectful environment. The ideal candidate is observant, organised, and able to adapt to changing needs while maintaining a professional and supportive presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Home & Personal Support
    • Meal preparation, batch cooking, and light food support
    • Laundry, bed making, and household organisation
    • Supporting daily routines, appointments, and planning
    • Personal care (e.g. grooming, hair, nails)
    • Assistance with therapy exercises and mobility support
    • Running errands, food shopping, and admin tasks
    • Monitoring supplies and noting completed/outstanding tasks
  • Community Access
    • Attending appointments and social activities
    • Collecting prescriptions, shopping, and deliveries
    • Supporting outings, travel, and occasional holidays
  • Cleaning Duties (primarily Thursdays & Sundays)
    • General cleaning (kitchen, bathroom, living areas)
    • Hoovering, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
    • Laundry and changing bed linen
    • Organising spaces for accessibility
    • Managing bins and restocking essentials

About the Client: An independent adult living with physical disabilities, focused on building a stable, structured routine and increasing independence. Values a calm, organised home environment and enjoys music and creativity.

Requirements
  • Strong spoken and written English
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently
  • Calm, respectful, and culturally aware approach
  • Physically able to assist with mobility (e.g. wheelchair use)
  • Basic IT skills for admin and remote tasks
  • Enhanced DBS (required)
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)

Hours & Pay: 18 hours a week. Pay rate: £17.50 per hour.
