The position will be working for Kingfisher Industrial Group Ltd based in Kidderminster. The company has an exceptional reputation for quality and operates from a modern, well-invested manufacturing facility.

Role Purpose

To support the Group Finance function by delivering accurate, timely financial processing and reporting across multiple manufacturing entities. The Finance Assistant will play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with group policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transactional Finance
    • Process purchase invoices, including three-way matching to purchase orders and goods received notes
    • Maintain supplier accounts and resolve queries in a timely manner
    • Prepare and process payment runs in line with agreed schedules
    • Raise sales invoices and manage intercompany recharges
    • Post bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations
  • Manufacturing & Cost Support
    • Assist with processing stock movements and Bill of Materials (BOM) updates
    • Support inventory reconciliations, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
    • Assist with production cost reporting and variance analysis
    • Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to resolve cost and pricing queries
  • Month-End & Reporting
    • Assist with month-end close for multiple group entities
    • Post journals, including accruals and prepayments
    • Support balance sheet reconciliations
    • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and KPI reporting
    • Maintain accurate financial records to audit standard
  • Compliance & Controls
    • Adhere to internal financial controls and group accounting policies
    • Support statutory audit and year-end processes
    • Ensure VAT transactions are accurately recorded (UK VAT knowledge desirable)
  • General
    • Maintain accurate and well-organised financial documentation
    • Support continuous improvement of finance processes and systems
    • Provide ad-hoc finance support to Group Finance team as required

  • Essential
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
    • Good Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas)
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
