Job Purpose: To support my child within the home or accessing social opportunities within the community. Keep, observe and ensure 1-1 with child, and child not left unattended at any time not even in another room.
Work Duties will include:
- Hands on one to one support at all times
- Play and play based learning
- Activities, arts and crafts, and child’s personal interests
- Basic cookery leaving kitchen clean and tidy after use
- Motivating and encouraging them to take part and try new things
- Helping them to develop social skills
Other requirements:
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication with the child and their parents
- Maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Always ensuring the safety of the child
- When child eats, cut up food small and supervise at all times to prevent choking
- Prevent child eating or putting non-edible objects in mouth
- Prevention of elopement
- In garden trampoline risk
- Experience of AAC and PECS
Requirements for applicant:
- Imagination and patience in relation to activities to undertake
- Good sense of humour
- Flexible, reliable and honest
- Physically fit, agile and energetic
- Understanding of autism and ADHD essential
- Full driving license with business insurance within your policy
- DBS Check will be completed
- SEN trained with challenging behaviour
