Hours: 4.5 hours per week

Hours based on:

  • Wednesday 12pm - 2.30pm
  • Friday 9am - 11.30am

Rate: £12.40 per hour

Job purpose: To assist me, a friendly 80 year old lady, with the day to day activities enabling me to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets my chosen lifestyle. I live in my own home and I am looking for a kind PA to help me with my routines and to support me to access and attend social activities in and around the BS34 and general Bristol area. My own personal interests are making friends, reading, music, animals and walks.

Work Duties may include:

  • Helping with cooking and cleaning
  • Taking care of my retired guide dog
  • Food prep and shopping
  • Washing and ironing
  • Pairing outfits for me to wear
  • Checking expiry dates on food
  • Organising and accompanying me to appointments

Supporting:

  • With accessing social activities
  • With accessing the shops for personal items
  • With socialising and getting out for a coffee
  • With getting out and about in the community
  • With mobility, ensuring my safety

Other requirements:

  • Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
  • Assisting with management of employer’s health risks
  • Establish and maintain effective communication
  • Maintaining confidentiality

Location and additional information:

  • Within the employer’s home in BS34 and the local area
  • 5.6 weeks of annual leave per year
  • Friendly and flexible employer
  • Urgent start so interview guaranteed if suitable
