CJP Outreach Services is currently seeking 2 experienced Team Leaders to oversee care packages in Bristol BS32 and BS5. For this role it is essential that you have experience supporting people with complex early-life trauma and learning disabilities. Experience with cerebral palsy would be beneficial. Ideally, your background will include community-based settings such as supported living and/or residential care. Knowledge of working within a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework would be an advantage.
BS32 – Role Overview
In this role you will lead a team supporting a warm, friendly, and fun-loving gentleman in his own home, where support is provided on a 2:1 basis. He enjoys activities such as going to nightclubs, gaming on his PlayStation, watching movies, and following wrestling. He requires encouragement and physical assistance with personal care, as well as support to enhance his quality of life, build self-esteem, and feel valued and respected. At times he may use behaviours of concern to communicate his needs.
BS5 – Role Overview
We are looking for someone who is positive, approachable, and has a good sense of humour, while also remaining calm, resilient, and composed under pressure. In this role you will lead a team supporting a warm, friendly, young man who is very active in his own home, where support is provided on a 3:1 basis. He enjoys exercise such as lifting weights, riding bikes, going for hikes, outdoor swimming, and any physical outdoor activities. He is practical, enjoys taking things apart and rebuilding them, including bikes, and has even turned a fruit machine into a chair for his sensory room.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Team Leader you will be responsible for guiding and supporting staff within the package.
- This includes supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and promoting best practice.
- You will work closely with the local Case Manager to uphold standards and improve the quality of life of the person you support.
- Occasional sleep-in duty and some weekend hours.
Requirements
- Positive, approachable, with good sense of humour, calm, resilient, composed under pressure.
- Experienced in supporting individuals with early-life trauma, learning disabilities, and possibly cerebral palsy.
- Familiarity with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and community-based settings.
