Looking for 2 personal assistants (one male and one female) to assist a teenage boy and a teenage girl with autism. The role focuses on outings, accessing playgrounds/parks and other play activities in and around Ashford, and any activities deemed fit by the parents. Assist in transitions from one location or activity to the next.

Hours and Rate

  • Pay: £12.21 per hour.
  • Part-time: 5 hours a week total. Hours can be split up during school time, weekdays from 4 PM. Weekends and holiday period hours to be arranged.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and encourage them to participate in activities.
  • Go out for runs and walks.
  • Help them develop social skills and good communication.
  • Play games.

Qualifications / Specification

  • My assistant must be physically fit, agile, and attentive.
  • Able to run and take long walks.
  • Must be honest, trustworthy, reliable, respectful of privacy, maintain dignity, enthusiastic, flexible, with a caring disposition.
  • Able to work well independently and in pair.
  • The post requires an enhanced DBS disclosure, funded through your employer.
