Job Title: Personal Assistant

Responsible to: Directly to the employer

Hours: 36 hours per week

Work Pattern: To be discussed and agreed in advance, including working on a 7-day rota.

Working hours: 8am – 8pm

Hourly Rate: £12.50 per hour

Location: Telford, TF2 6**

Job Purpose

Provide care and support to a young man in his own home and community.

Main duties

• Supervise to ensure health, wellbeing, and safety.
• Support with daily living activities.
• Encourage participation in sensory activities.
• Assist with eating, drinking, and monitoring fluid intake.
• Support mobility within the home.
• Provide personal care as needed.
• Prepare and administer medications.
• Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by the employer.

Personal Specification

• Experience with vulnerable adults.
• Flexible hours.
• Patience, supportiveness, friendliness, punctuality, reliability, trustworthiness.
• Respect for dignity, privacy, confidentiality.
• Understanding of personal safety, good communication skills.
• Willingness to undertake training.
• Knowledge of risks and equal opportunities.
• Full driving license and confidence in driving the mobility van.

Special Conditions

• Notify employer of any changes to your license.
• Subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
• 6-month probationary period.
