Role Overview

We’re looking for a lively and confident Assistant Manager to support the AGM and General Manager in delivering an excellent hospitality experience to the Wimbledon community.

Responsibilities

  • Support AGM and General Manager in day‑to‑day operations.
  • Drive financial performance and help achieve key performance indicators and budgets.
  • Oversee staff training, engagement, and development.
  • Deliver excellent customer service – creating memorable experiences for guests.
  • Promote and manage live music and sport events where applicable.
  • Assist with food and drink operations, maintaining high standards.
  • Support the management of special events and promotions.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or Assistant Manager experience at a £20,000-plus pub or restaurant.
  • Experience in a food‑led or outdoor service environment.
  • Experience working with sport events is advantageous.
  • Strong hospitality passion, collaborative mindset, and excellent decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • UK bank account and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
