We're looking for an Assistant General Manager to support our General Manager in delivering an exceptional Livelyhood experience every day.

The Assistant General Manager Role

As Assistant General Manager, you’ll help run operations, lead the team, and step in to cover the GM when needed. You’ll ensure the pub runs smoothly, maintain high standards and drive results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the GM’s right-hand and step in as acting GM when needed
  • Lead, develop and inspire our talented teams
  • Drive operational excellence, sales, and profitability
  • Keep standards high across food, drink, and guest experience
  • Take ownership of key areas as agreed with GM
  • Make the pub a place where both guests and teams love to be
  • Embrace being an independent, community pub

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience managing a busy pub, bar or restaurant team
  • Confident stepping up as acting GM
  • Ambition to progress into the GM role – AGM is a stepping stone
  • Proven leadership skills, able to motivate Front & BOH teams
  • Confident managing operational performance
  • Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Someone who loves a great community pub & never forgets that hospitality at its heart is fun

  • Competitive salary £38,500 - £40,500 + tronc, OTE £41,500 - £44,500
  • Additional quarterly bonus scheme – £1,300 a quarter (£5,200 a year)
