We are looking for an outstanding and talented Sous Chef to join our team at The Rose, the perfect spot for great drinks, delicious seasonal food and the finest pizza in South East London. Our kitchen works with fresh premium and seasonal products, creating an ever‑changing menu that highlights mouth‑watering Sunday roasts and stone‑fired pizzas.

This amazing opportunity is ideal for someone who loves working in a busy kitchen, enjoys training staff, and is excited by innovation and change.

You Are:

  • Able to take responsibility for the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring service, safety and security expectations are met to the highest standards.
  • Passionate about training our team to deliver outstanding food and exciting our customers.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to uphold agreed standards.
  • Assist the General Manager and Head Chef in identifying opportunities and products to maximise sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Prepare and present all dishes to an outstanding standard of presentation appropriate for the day and time.
  • Support the Head Chef in developing, implementing and reviewing the menu to maximise sales in line with our pub vision and business plan.
