A front desk floater is a receptionist that greets and directs customers or visitors that come into an office or business, and answers and directs incoming phone calls. Deals with mail or courier services. May schedule appointments or meeting rooms, gather patient information, or assist with filing or other administrative support work.

Job Duties:

  • Confirm all diagnostic appointments 2 days in advance, verify patient has been informed of any amounts due at the time of service, check for the need of priors and/or if priors have been received, check for orders if applicable, verify order and appointment type match.
  • Work fax drive.
  • Cover for Call-Attendant at FW as needed, which includes checking in visitors, vendors, scheduling walk-ins, and patients that need to be rescheduled after arriving. Only applies to FW employees.
  • Backup for checking in and checking out patients as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as requested.
  • Cross train as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent with 2 years front office experience in a medical office required.
  • 1 year of experience with insurance, scheduling, and front desk duties required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
