Full training will be provided and although the role will be based at Hoddesdon, the successful candidate may be required to work in another Hertfordshire site on occasions.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with different teams to ensure that the following can be completed
  • Cleaning vehicles
  • Assisting staff with check-ins and check-outs
  • 6-weekly vehicle checks on all vehicles
  • Keeping yard and work area tidy and free of obstructions
  • Ensuring stock of consumables is maintained
  • Preparing vehicles for sale
  • Handing over sales vehicles to customers
  • Backup for driving/deliveries/collections/moving vehicles between depots

Keen to learn - training will be provided. Flexible, proactive, and good communication skills are essential. A full driving licence is required.

Position details

We are delighted to be recruiting for two part-time Vehicle Valeters to join a well-established and successful client based in Hoddesdon. These are part-time positions offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The roles offer an hourly rate of £12.71, with any overtime paid at the standard hourly rate.

There are two vacancies available, operating on alternating two-weekly shift patterns as outlined below:

Shift Pattern A

  • Week 1: 07:30 - 17:30 Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (1 hour lunch or 2 × 15-minute breaks and 30-minute lunch)
  • Week 2: 07:30 - 17:30 Thursday & Friday (1 hour lunch or 2 × 15-minute breaks and 30-minute lunch)
  • Saturday: 07:30 - 12:15 (15-minute break)

Shift Pattern B

  • Week 1: 07:30 - 17:30 Thursday & Friday (1 hour lunch or 2 × 15-minute breaks and 30-minute lunch)
  • Week 2: 07:30 - 17:30 Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (1 hour lunch or 2 × 15-minute breaks and 30-minute lunch)
  • Saturday: 07:30 - 12:15 (15-minute break)
