We are strengthening our Senior Leadership Team with the appointment of an Operations Manager. The role leads the operational flow across planning, procurement, production and the warehouse. You will be responsible for coordinating these areas effectively and ensuring reliable fulfilment and a good experience for both customers and co‑owners. You will also maintain high standards of health, safety and quality across all areas. A key part of the role is creating an environment where co‑owners can grow, develop capability and take ownership of their work. You will help people be the best version of themselves, support succession planning, and build followership by setting clear expectations and leading by example. The role also works closely with our design and commercial teams on new product introduction and tailored bespoke project design solutions, ensuring operational readiness and supporting the company’s growth plans.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be accountable for:

Core Accountabilities
- Operational Leadership and Fulfilment
- Lead day‑to‑day operations across planning, procurement, production and the warehouse.
- Maintain a clear daily and weekly operational rhythm.
- Ensure reliable, right‑first‑time fulfilment for customers.
- Planning, Procurement and Supplier Management
- Oversee planning, purchasing and materials management.
- Maintain accurate demand, stock data, BoOs, BoMs and production information.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance.
- Production, Warehouse and Inventory Management
- Ensure safe, efficient and well‑organised production and warehouse operations.
- Maintain accurate physical stock levels through strong inventory processes.
- Support good workflow and coordination between teams.
- Health, Safety and Quality
- Lead health, safety and environmental standards across the entire site.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and company requirements.
- Manage and maintain quality accreditations and the Quality Management System (QMS).
- People, Culture and Leadership
- Create an environment where co‑owners grow, develop capability and take ownership.
- Support succession planning and individual development.
- Set clear expectations, coach the team and build strong followership.
- Continuous Improvement and Ways of Working
- Improve processes, flow and operational routines to support efficiency.
- Lead problem‑solving and maintain accurate system data.
- Help embed a culture of continuous improvement across operations.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) and Operational Readiness
- Support new product introduction by preparing operations for launch.
- Align supply chain, planning and production processes with new products.
- Ensure readiness for bespoke design and tailored project requirements.

- Fulfilment – OTIF delivery: ≥95%.
- Efficiency – Schedule adherence / productivity: ≥95% adherence to the daily plan.
- Procurement – Supplier OTIF and cost control: ≥95% supplier OTIF; year‑on‑year material cost improvement.
- ERP / Data Accuracy – BoM, BoO and transaction integrity: ≥98% accuracy.
- Quality – Right first time: ≥98% conformance.
- Safety – Reportable incidents: Zero reportable incidents; positive near‑miss reporting trend.
- Inventory Accuracy – Stock accuracy: ≥98%.
- People & Culture – Engagement, retention, development: Improved retention, engagement and quality of 1:1s and development activity.
- NPI Readiness – Manufacturing readiness: 100% operational readiness before each launch.

- Experience leading operations in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of planning, procurement, production and warehouse processes.
- Experience improving operational flow and ways of working.

- Good understanding of operational data, ERP use and production information.
