Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Football Coach to lead weekly training sessions in Walsall. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, structured sessions that support the development of young players.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions tailored to player development
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
- Develop players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, and confidence
- Ensure all sessions are safe, organised, and aligned with academy standards
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and academy staff
- Monitor and provide feedback on player progress
Requirements
- UEFA C Coaching Qualification (minimum)
- Valid DBS Certificate
- First Aid Certification
- Safeguarding Certificate
- Experience working with young players
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan and deliver structured training sessions
Desirable
- Previous experience in an academy or grassroots football environment
- Strong understanding of player development pathways
