A place of escape, bursting with wildflowers, olive and mulberry trees, grassy lawns and hidden nooks. An Art Deco gem created in 1938, The Roof Gardens has a legendary legacy. We’re seeking a confident and charismatic Senior Sommelier to join the vibrant front of house team at The Roof Gardens. As a warm and professional presence, you’ll become a familiar face to our members, ensuring their experience is seamless, welcoming, and memorable from beginning to end.
Key Responsibilities:- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Senior Sommelier in the luxury hospitality market
- WSET qualification or equivalent industry certification
- Manage daily wine service operations, including opening and closing duties, ensuring full compliance with quality and service standards
- Provide personalised wine recommendations to members and guests to elevate their dining experience
- Greet and engage members and guests warmly, creating a memorable first impression
- Support in curating a wine list that reflects The Roof Gardens’ commitment to excellence
- Collaborate with the Head Sommelier and Head Chefs to develop innovative wine pairings that complement the menu offering
- Design and assist in the delivery of comprehensive wine training programmes for F&B, FOH, and Events teams to enhance product knowledge and boost sales
- Communicate effectively with the Sommelier team to ensure clarity of responsibilities and delivery of exceptional service
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
