About the role and team

At Zepz, we are moving money across borders to unlock prosperity for millions. As our Procure to Pay (P2P) Director, you will lead the operational spine of our global finance function. You won’t just be managing a process; you will be the architect of a scalable, automated ecosystem that ensures our global vendors and partners are managed with the same speed and precision as our customer transfers. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead a global, multi-entity team. You will unify and modernize our P2P lifecycle, moving away from legacy manual workflows toward a high-velocity, tech-enabled centre of excellence.

What you bring to the table

You have extensive experience in procure to pay, but you aren't a "maintenance" leader. You have deep knowledge of vendor management and are able to lead commercial negotiations across all areas of the business from IT, compliance, marketing and support functions. You understand technology available to us and thrive on achieving the best commercial outcomes. You support the business through the procurement process, ensuring contracts are fully within policy and all the necessary steps are taken for swift and risk-free renewals or onboarding. You also need deep experience in the complexities of vendor payments including global tax (VAT/GST) and regulatory compliance across 50+ countries. As an expert in accounts payable you are confident in implementing best practice approaches to the payment processes, including deep knowledge of accounting systems, and you need to own and apply policies strictly. In line with Zepz’s values, you are always seeking a more efficient way. You stay ahead of fintech trends, from AI-driven invoice coding to blockchain-based vendor payments.

What you will focus on

  • Commercial negotiations across the Group’s vendors, including monitoring renewal periods, and strategic options. You will drive to achieve the best possible rates and services from our vendors.
  • Drive the "Self-Service" agenda, making the wider business aware of payment processes and providing support and training to reduce delayed payments and/or errors in payment. This includes continuing to strive for a "No-PO, No-Pay" policy and 90%+ touchless invoice processing.
  • Partner with Legal on the implementation of new vendor onboarding including working through contracting and due diligence. Oversee the Accounts Payable team, ensuring impeccable balance sheet hygiene and a seamless month-end close.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to Budget Owners and Department Heads, helping them navigate procurement safely while maintaining the speed a fintech requires.

Bonus Points if you have

  • Professional Qualification: ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing remote teams and stakeholders across 4+ continents and understanding the nuances of emerging market payments.
