Operating from our offices in Paisley and Greenock, our team of seven experienced solicitors serves clients across all courts and jurisdictions in Scotland. Our lawyers are members of the Law Society of Scotland and accredited by the Scottish Legal Aid Board, delivering expert legal services in criminal defense and civil matters concerning children.
Role Description
The Robert Kerr Partnership Solicitors require a Full‑Time Legal Secretary for our busy criminal law practice in Greenock.
Key Responsibilities
- Audio Typing of Solicitors’ letters, reports and court forms
- Handling incoming/outgoing telephone calls
- Manage incoming and outgoing channels of communication, Post Office, DX, inbox, fax and electronic portals such as COPFS and Legal Aid Online
- Day‑to‑day management of appointments, booking custody visits and, where necessary, arranging cover for out‑of‑town courts
- Maintaining office petty cash and handling office expenditure, invoices and receipts
- Inputting of legal aid applications online, following up and progressing the applications and providing further information requested by the Scottish Legal Aid Board
- Experience of submitting on‑line Legal Aid accounts

- Ability to work alone with minimum supervision
