The Riverside Practice is a well‑established GP practice located in March, Cambridgeshire. With a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, we are committed to providing high‑quality care and support to our patients. We are currently seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will work 3 days per week (Wednesdays and Fridays essential) providing a full range of nursing services to our patients, including health promotion, chronic disease management, treatment room duties, and participation in NHS vaccination programs.
Key Responsibilities- Health promotion and chronic disease management
- Provide a full range of nursing services to patients
- Conduct treatment room duties such as wound care and cervical smears
- Administer NHS vaccination programs for both adults and children
- Participate in mass vaccination campaigns such as Seasonal Flu & Covid
- Contribute to activities related to QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework)
- Review pathology results for the nursing team
- Conduct contraceptive pill checks
- Work with Patient Specific Directions (PSDs) and Patient Group Directions (PGDs)
- Nurse qualification is essential
- Registered with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) is essential
- Experience working within a GP practice, particularly with chronic disease management, diabetes is highly desirable (training can be provided if necessary)
- Experienced in treatment room nursing
- Enthusiastic and willing to attend courses for career development
- Flexible to cover and/or work extra to help meet patient demand covering holidays etc
