Role Overview
Working as part of a team committed to best practice in the social housing field, you will facilitate the coordination and delivery of a professional service to retirement living customers across a designated group of schemes. This will include service, facilities and housing management and monitoring service level agreements with partners.
Responsibilities
- Ensure occupancy targets are met through letting and refurbishment of properties
- Meet rent collection and arrears targets
- Monitor the delivery of service contracts across designated schemes including lifts, heating, fire equipment, gardening, etc.
- Provide practical support and information to customers when entering the services and throughout their involvement, including assistance with completion of occupancy agreements, welfare benefit claims and liaison with benefit agencies
- Deliver high standards of housing management and conduct regular site inspections across all schemes
- Monitor and reduce anti‑social behaviour within services
- Clearly communicate customer responsibilities and tenancy compliance
- Work with colleagues to maintain good links with local neighbourhoods
- Use appropriate IT systems, including housing management systems, and maintain professional and timely records
- Assess potential customers’ housing needs in consultation with relevant agencies and the customer in terms of suitability to access the service
- Implement the Riverside Health and Safety policy at designated schemes and ensure customers are aware of security provisions
- Provide information to assist new customers on services within schemes and local communities
- Promote customer involvement at the schemes and collaborate with the Health and Wellbeing Team
- Encourage customers to participate in events, activities and scheme running, and promote integration into the local community
- Coordinate the lettings process to minimise void levels, including application of the voids procedure, implementing the allocations policy, maintaining the scheme waiting list and leading promotion and marketing of the scheme
- Travel across designated locations to deliver an effective service
- Observe the Riverside code of conduct and maintain the highest standards of professional integrity
- Provide a high‑quality, customer‑focused service, championing the Riverside Service Style Practices
- Ensure compliance with Riverside’s Equality and Diversity policy in respect of employment and service delivery
- Ensure that all data is compliant with legislation and policies relating to data quality
- Any other relevant duties as required by the designated manager
- Ensure compliance with Riverside’s safeguarding policies and procedures in every aspect of service delivery
Additional Duties
- Work flexible hours to meet customer and business needs, which may not include normal office hours
- Travel to different properties within the defined area as required
- Use the Lone Worker system as necessary
- Ensure customers are safe at all times and carry out duties within Riverside’s policy framework (health & safety, safeguarding, dignity at work, GDPR, cash handling, etc.)
- Deliver the role in line with Riverside company values – “Our Riverside Way”
- Participate in team meetings, attend regular supervisions and reflection sessions
- Undertake regular training and develop responsibly to deliver the role safely
- From time to time undertake additional duties in consultation with the Line Manager

Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Relevant experience of working with older and vulnerable people
- Experience of housing management duties
- Experience of liaison with agencies/partner organisations
- IT skills: basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Care and Support; complete relevant IT training where required
