We are looking for a professional, hands-on, and motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our busy restaurant. This role is ideal for someone with strong hospitality experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example on the floor. The successful candidate will work closely with the Restaurant Owners to ensure excellent customer service, smooth day-to-day operations, strong team performance, and high standards across all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of restaurant operations
  • Lead and supervise front-of-house service during breakfast, lunch, and evening shifts
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently delivered
  • Support staff training, development, and performance management
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
  • Assist with staff scheduling and rota management
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and health & safety compliance
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
  • Support opening and closing procedures
  • Work closely with kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth service

Working Hours

This is a full-time position based on a 48-hour working week. Typical schedule includes: Breakfast and lunch shifts throughout the week and Sunday Evening service shifts every Friday and Saturday. Regular days off: Monday and Tuesday. Flexibility is essential to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality or restaurants
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy service environment
  • Passion for hospitality and customer service
  • Good understanding of restaurant operations and health & safety procedures
  • Personal licence or wine knowledge is advantageous but not essential
