This is a comprehensive, hands-on accounting role within a fast-paced and evolving environment. The Fund Accountant will work directly with the Head of Finance and will be involved in a wide scope of responsibilities including fund and corporate accounting, compliance, operations, and cross-functional projects. Collaboration with external partners such as fund administrators, legal counsel, and auditors is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Fund Accounting
- Assist in monthly NAV close processes in collaboration with fund administrators
- Review and resolve discrepancies in NAV calculations
- Coordinate with auditors during year-end audits
- Corporate Accounting
- Manage daily accounting for the management entity
- Review and process vendor invoices in coordination with third-party accountants
- Operations & Legal
- Maintain operational workflows and vendor communications
- Liaise with external legal teams on corporate and fund governance
- Compliance
- Help uphold adherence to global financial regulations
- Prepare and assist with regulatory filings across jurisdictions
- Support internal control documentation and compliance systems
- Investor Relations
- Address ad-hoc investor inquiries and documentation needs
- Projects & Process Improvements
- Contribute to enhancing operational efficiency and systems
- Participate in special projects as the firm continues to scale
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Professional qualification (or in progress) such as CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or related financial roles
- Solid understanding of accounting standards; US GAAP knowledge is a plus
- Experience in digital assets fund structures
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
