Master Electrician – Direct-Hire/Full-time – Plymouth, MN + 90% Travel

Are you a licensed Master Electrician who enjoys being hands-on in the field while mentoring others and ensuring project quality?

THE RIGHT STAFF is partnering with a national energy and facilities management company in their search for a skilled Master Electrician to join their Field Quality Assurance team. This organization works with major commercial clients across North America to deliver innovative, ROI-driven energy and infrastructure projects. Essential Job Duties:

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for project teams and labor partners, providing on-site and remote support to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installations
  • Conduct field quality audits, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop actionable recommendations for process and job improvements
  • Maintain and manage state and local licenses (Master Electrician, Electrical Contractor, General Contractor, etc.) and assist with pulling permits as required
  • Act as a liaison between project teams, customers, and local authorities to ensure compliance with industry codes, licensing, and safety standards
  • Provide training and coaching to labor partners and internal teams on electrical best practices, installation methods, and safety compliance
  • Participate in project kick-offs and production meetings, offering field insights to support on-time, on-budget project delivery
  • Support internal training material development (manuals, installation guides, videos) to promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Travel to project sites nationwide to support audits, commissioning, and troubleshooting efforts as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active Master Electrician License in at least one U.S. State
  • 8+ years of total electrical industry experience
  • 5+ years of in-field installation experience and 3+ years of field supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes (NEC, IBC, OSHA 1926, NFPA 70E, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Willingness to travel up to 95% for site visits, audits, and field support
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work from ladders or lifts, and perform physical labor as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with client communication, project management, or quality assurance in commercial construction or energy efficiency projects
