Overview
Facilities Maintenance Technician II – Direct-Hire Opportunity! THE RIGHT STAFF is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our client\’s team – a well-established Medical Device company in Plymouth, MN. This position will be a key part of their Maintenance team, supporting multiple local buildings. This critical role is responsible for supporting facility uptime and building operations by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, and general building systems, with occasional support for production machinery. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, particularly with commercial HVAC, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical panels, lighting, RTUs, and general building infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
- Respond quickly to facilities-related issues across cleanroom, office, and warehouse environments
- Assist with limited machine and equipment maintenance (e.g., injection molding, hydraulics, pneumatics)
- Maintain tools, logs, and documentation related to facilities tasks
- Support 3-4 buildings within a 10-mile radius of Plymouth, MN
- Participate in an on-call phone support rotation for after-hours facilities issues (physical response rarely required)
- Work in a cleanroom environment when needed (gowning required for certain areas)
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to a team-focused, safety-first culture
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or approved GED
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance (HVAC, electrical, building systems)
- Strong experience with commercial HVAC systems, electrical repair, and general building maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex building system issues independently
- Comfortable working in cleanroom environments (gowning required)
- Must be able to work in a collaborative, safety-conscious environment – \”Safety First\” mindset
- Must hold a valid state driver\’s license
- On-Call Expectation – Must be able to provide onsite/phone support for off-hours issues (e.g., power outages, HVAC failures)
Culture/Benefits

- 100% Onsite in Plymouth – support 4 facilities within a 10-mile proximity (Primarily Cleanroom Manufacturing Environment)
- Must be able to work 1st OR 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday
- Pay ranges from $35/hr-$38/hr, depending on experience
