We are looking for a highly organised and commercially minded Production Administrator / Estimating Assistant to join our team in Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, specifications and processes and is interested in developing a career within estimating, costing and production. You will work closely with our Estimating and Bidding Team, providing essential administrative and technical support throughout the estimating and tender process. The role would suit an experienced administrator with an interest in manufacturing/engineering, or a recent engineering graduate looking to build a career in estimating and commercial costing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the estimating and bidding team.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of quotations and tenders.
- Review customer enquiries, drawings, specifications and supporting documentation.
- Help gather information and pricing from suppliers and internal departments.
- Assist with material, labour and production cost calculations.
- Maintain accurate costing, quotation and tender records.
- Input and update information on internal systems and spreadsheets.
- Liaise with production, purchasing, engineering and other departments to obtain relevant information.
- Assist with monitoring tender deadlines and ensuring quotations are completed on time.
- Prepare reports, schedules and other documentation as required.
- Help maintain accurate product, material and pricing information.
- Support the team with general administration and coordination of production and estimating activities.
