Communications and Public Affairs Officer

This is a part-time role

The Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) is seeking a Communications and Public Affairs Officer to lead strategic communications, digital content, and advocacy initiatives across its flagship programmes, including The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition and the Commonwealth Clean Oceans Plastics Campaign. The role involves managing the RCS website, social media channels, newsletters, and multimedia content, as well as supporting high-profile events and public affairs activities with Commonwealth stakeholders, Parliamentarians, and youth networks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in communications, marketing, or public affairs, strong writing and video content skills, proficiency in digital tools and social media, and an interest in international affairs and policy advocacy. Occasional out-of-hours work is required.
