We’re seeking a passionate and driven individual to lead and coordinate our communications and campaigning work. You will play a key role in ensuring that we communicate dynamically and effectively with our members, the media, stakeholders and the public, and that communications and campaigns support the FBU’s industrial priorities and organising work.
One of your first tasks will be to undertake a brief review of our overall communications approach, from our engagement strategy with our members through to how we work externally with press and television. Ideally, you will have experience of this.
Working under the direction set by the General Secretary, and closely with elected officials and colleagues across the Union, the role combines coordination and delivery across media, digital, publications, campaigns and events. You will bring practical expertise and experience in communications and campaigning, and contribute to joined-up approaches across the Union.
Flexible, agile and resilient, you will have a proven track record of developing, leading and coordinating successful communications and campaigns. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to design and deliver high quality and innovative comms and campaigns and you will, of course, have strong communication and organisational skills, coupled with sound political judgement.
If you want to make a difference, if you are committed to advancing impactful communications and campaigns in a trade union context, and if you feel aligned to the values, aims and objectives of the FBU, we are interested in hearing from you.
