A busy and well-established GP practice in Sedgley, Dudley serving approximately 12000 patients is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice and Business Manager. This is a leadership position offering the opportunity to shape the future of the practice, improve services and ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. The successful candidate will oversee finance, governance, and operational management while working closely with GP partners and the leadership team. Main duties of the job

  • Ensure services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Service improvement and patient experience initiatives.
  • Oversee practice finances, budgets, contracts, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with NHS regulations, governance requirements, risk management and quality standards.
  • Drive service improvement initiatives and enhance patient experience.
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment, staff development, and performance management.
  • Work collaboratively with GP Partners and the wider leadership team on strategic planning and practice development.

We are a busy, established friendly, supportive training practice with a multidisciplinary team including three GP Partners, three Salaried GPs, two Advanced Nurse Practitioners, one Advanced Nurse specialist, Practice Nurses, Assistant Practitioner, Paramedics, GP Assistants, and a dedicated administrative and management team. We pride ourselves on providing excellent patient care while fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment, where staff are valued, supported, and encouraged to develop professionally. Our practice was ranked among the top five GP practices for patient satisfaction in the West Midlands in 2025. In 2024, we were placed 8th for patient satisfaction among Black Country GP practices. We were ranked 4th best among GP practices in Dudley for most helpful reception and administrative teams. The CQC inspection carried out in March 2026 awarded us a good rating in every area assessed. We serve as the lead practice for Sedgley, Coseley, and Gornal PCN, collaborating closely with nearby PCN practices. We consistently achieve high scores in all QOF domains.

Working closely with the GP Partners and senior leadership team, you will support the operational, financial, and strategic management of the surgery, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.

Person Specification

We are seeking someone who can demonstrate:
