The Ridgeway Hospital in Swindon is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Sister - Charge Nurse to join their team of staff in the nursing department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include:

  • Provide hands‑on clinical care, acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
  • Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care.
  • Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and patient needs are met.
  • Support the development, appraisal, and competency assessment of junior nurses, HCAs, and students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NMC and organisational standards.
  • Promote compliance with infection prevention, medication safety, safeguarding, and other clinical governance priorities.

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
  • Significant post‑registration experience in an acute or relevant specialty.
  • Experience in leading and supervising a team within a clinical environment.
