Overview

This role is located at The Ridgeway Hospital in Swindon, part of Circle Health Group. We are looking for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy department. The role will cover a flexible shift pattern and may involve both inpatient and outpatient settings. Opportunities are available in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and general surgery areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently assess and treat patients with complex needs across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of physiotherapy techniques to optimise recovery, function, and independence.
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions accordingly, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
  • Manage a designated caseload efficiently, prioritising based on clinical urgency and discharge planning needs.
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective, and timely patient care.
  • Contribute to continuity of care by supporting patient transitions between services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
  • Solid post-registration experience across a range of clinical areas.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to teamwork and service improvement.
  • Evidence of CPD or postgraduate learning in a relevant clinical area.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff or students.
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation and outcome measurement tools.
