Pastry Sous Chef to support our pastry operation and help lead our kitchen team.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen, with a focus on pastry
  • Preparing and producing high‑quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods
  • Ensuring recipes and specifications are followed
  • Overseeing presentation so every dessert leaves the kitchen looking its best
  • Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
  • Managing stock control in the pastry section, including ordering, labelling, rotation, and minimising waste
  • Training, coaching, and supporting junior members of the kitchen team
  • Helping to develop new dessert dishes, specials, and seasonal menu items
  • Leading the pastry section during service when required
  • Contributing to a calm, professional, and efficient kitchen environment
  • What we’re looking for
  • Previous experience in a pastry role within a professional kitchen (Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie level)
  • A genuine passion for baking, desserts, and high‑quality ingredients
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • A positive, can‑do attitude and strong team ethic
  • Desire to learn, develop, and progress within the kitchen
