The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.
Salary - £45,000 to £55,000 per annum depending on experience. Plus tips (paid weekly, based on last year's earnings). Permanent Contract, 40hr week and based in our Head Office in north Cornwall. Regular travel to our out-of-county locations will be required.
We are looking for an exceptional creative talent to lead the artistic vision and storytelling of the Rick Stein brand - someone who can translate our heritage, craft and hospitality into a modern, inspiring visual world. This is a rare opportunity for a designer and brand leader with impeccable taste, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to deliver ideas to the very highest standard. You will have proven experience working with top-tier brands - whether in retail, luxury or within creative agencies - and a deep understanding of how to build emotional, human-centred brand worlds that resonate across multiple touch points.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Brand Storytelling & Vision: Having the greatest impact by always demonstrating the right behaviours in the right situation. Using company values-based decision making to manage your people and the business. Being positive and curious in your approach to your ways of working. Taking ownership for your site by leading and representing the business and setting the culture. Planning and setting priorities and direction for the team. Collaboratively and supportively manage the performance of the in-house content creator.
- Graphic Design: Leading the creation of high-quality content and campaigns for the restaurants, hospitality, rooms and e-commerce platforms. Having the ability to deliver concept design, business development presentations and art-working (typography, image selection, layout) designs for all aspects of the business, such as menus, packaging, brand toolkits and playbooks, digital assets, and restaurant experience propositions. Working with external creative partners to articulate and activate corporate brand development assets and campaigns.
Experience & Skills
- Ability to think creatively, and execute to an exceptional standard across multiple channels, including website, digital, animation, print and experiential/ambient.
- Ability to deliver creative concepting, scamps, Mac visuals, layout, illustration, typography, art working and liaising with print and production providing artwork to spec.
- The confidence and experience to articulate a creative vision with clarity, and to build resources (e.g. toolkits, asset banks, immersive assets) to ensure these ideas are executed and installed (sometimes through others) to your high standards of design and ideation.
- Experience in creating online advertising (design and creation) including animation, graphics for web/social media, infographics, illustrations, visuals, image selection, editing, email templates.
- Ability to work as part of a team and flexibility with the demands of the company.
- Experience: 5 years + design and creative experience (either agency or in-house).
