Fistral is entering an exciting new era as we evolve into a more drinks-led, social, beach-bar inspired destination. To support this next phase, we’re reshaping our kitchen and Front of House leadership teams, and we’re looking for a talented Junior Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering exceptional food and experiences.

As Junior Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef, helping to maintain high standards in the kitchen and deliver dishes consistently and efficiently. You’ll take ownership of daily kitchen operations when needed, assist with menu execution, and help ensure every guest enjoys an outstanding culinary experience. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone eager to grow into a senior kitchen position, learn from experienced chefs, and contribute to a positive, high-performing kitchen culture.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading and supporting the kitchen team
  • Help with menu execution, specials, and seasonal dishes
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality food delivery aligned to Fistral’s new concept
  • Support daily kitchen operations including prep, mise en place, and service flow
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, health & safety, and HACCP standards
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier communication
  • Mentor and support junior and commis chefs, fostering a positive team environment
  • Contribute to operational efficiency, productivity, and cost control
  • Step up to support the Sous Chef or Head Chef when required
