We’re looking for an assistant to join our team at Rick Stein's Cookery School.

What you'll be getting up to:
- Prepping for the course for that week, and for the courses coming up the followingweek, ensuring customers will have the best time.
- Updating kitchen with any changes for the weekend.
- Carrying out hosting duties for the Cookery School courses, ensuring the customershave everything they need to have the best day.
- Corresponding with guests through pre arrival and post arrival emails
- Keeping on top of low occupancy courses and flagging with Cookery SchoolSupervisor to organise next steps.
- Pushing last minute availability with resident cards and Facebook posts.
- Liaising with Finance for all till updates ensuring all the gift items are on the tills, andany updates are actioned.
- Actioning the customers sales from the gift shop during and after the course
- Taking in and recording the cash collections for South Quay.
- Ensuring all stock procedures are followed including accurate completion ofmonthly stock takes, and replenishment of stock.
- Collating all the customer feedback ready for the Cookery School Supervisor toreview.
- Collaborating with the Head Chef Lecturer on private event enquiries and helpingto manage the booking process with the Cookery School Supervisor.
- Organising the folders for the courses, ensuring they are ready and enough for eachcourse.
- Following the correct procedures for the management of allergens with customerand ensuring up to date on all allergen training.
- Balancing finances with daily cash ups, cross checking with room payments,ensuring all payments are accounted for. Investigating any discrepancies.
- Supporting with Facebook management of course images and details.
- Investigating other cookery schools with a competitor analysis.
Skills and experience needed:
- Working well under pressure and during the busy times by supporting each otherand checking in with the team.
- Supporting new starters to the team through their first 90 days and beyond.
- Working in line with all company policies and procedures, doing the right thing inthe right way.
- Using company values-based decisions when interacting with other team membersand customers
- Having the greatest impact by always demonstrating the right behaviours in theright situation.
- Keeping on top of personal emails whilst on shift to upskill knowledge and havevisibility of key information for that shift.
- Being present at monthly team meetings to stay on top of new communicationsand spending time with the team.
- Being aware of costs in the Cookery School, including energy consumption andstock control, and the part you play in this.
