We are now looking for a Health & Safety Adviser to join our fantastic H&S team to help promote a safe environment for supported individuals, staff and visitors within The Richmond Fellowship Scotland.
About the role
Reporting to our Health & Safety Manager, you will assist in the ongoing development of all Health & Safety functions within TRFS. You will be expected to undertake regular inspections of sites and workplaces, evaluate Health & Safety incident reports, provide advice to managers on risk assessments and safe work procedures as well as assisting in the investigation of accidents. You'll also be expected to conduct annual fire risk assessments and health and safety training sessions. As well as supporting the H&S Manager with the organisational strategic plan and attending the national/regional H&S forum meetings. This is a varied role, offering the opportunity to assist in shaping health and safety culture across a large, complex organisation.
About you
You will be a confident and experienced Health & Safety professional with a minimum of 3 years experience in a H&S role. Essential requirements include:
- Membership of IOSH
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Level 3 OHS SVQ
- BSC Fire Risk Assessment qualification
- Experience in auditing H&S systems
- Computer literacy with a good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Forms and Powerpoint
