We are on the lookout for a compassionate and creative individual with a positive attitude to join us as Support Practitioner, based in Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes. Due to the nature of this role, we can only accept applications from female candidates that hold a full UK manual driving licence.

About Us: The Richmond Fellowship Scotland provides personalised and outcome-focused support to over 2800 individuals in their own homes across Scotland, making us the country’s largest provider of social care. We support individuals with a variety of different needs such as physical and/or learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, alcohol or substance abuse, autism and individuals who have been part of the criminal justice system. Some of the people we support can present challenging behaviour or require a high level of personal care.

The Role: This role will involve supporting service users with learning disabilities and mental health, a couple of service users who have been involved with the criminal justice service and an individual with muscular dystrophy who requires tracheotomy care. Past experience with moving and handling and peg feeding is desirable or a willingness to learn.

To be part of our team, we’ll need you to:

  • Good organisational skills

Shift pattern: Working five days per week, including two weekends per month. The shift times are 8am-6pm with occasional backshifts on Fridays and Saturdays.
