Please note due to the nature of the role we can only accept female applicants who hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own car.

The Role

This post covers areas throughout East Renfrewshire, including Newton Mearns, Thornliebank, Giffnock, Barrhead & Neilston meaning you may be asked to travel between areas to support different services. We support individuals with a variety of different needs such as physical and/or learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, complex health issues and autism. Some of the people we support require a high level of personal care including PEG feeding and various moving and handling procedures. The packages can be 24/7 or various shifts throughout the day depending on the level of support required.

To be an amazing Support Practitioner, we’ll need you to:

  • Have an empathetic and caring nature.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence in using computers.
  • Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.
  • Good organisational skills.
