We are looking for a passionate and highly organised Events Coordinator to join our dynamic sales team at The Retreat, Elcot Park. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys bringing creative event visions to life. You will be responsible for coordinating a variety of events from initial enquiry through to delivery, ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly and exceeds guest expectations. Some evenings and weekends will be required so you can be present at key events.
Key Responsibilities- Manage event enquiries, site visits, and client communications
- Plan and coordinate a range of events including weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and event schedules
- Liaise with internal departments (F&B, spa, housekeeping, kitchen) to ensure seamless execution and manage function sheets for the hotel
- Coordinate suppliers and external vendors
- Ensure all event spaces are set up to the highest standard
- Be present during key events to oversee delivery and respond to client needs
- Monitor budgets and maximise revenue opportunities
- Maintain excellent client relationships and encourage repeat business
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, or a similar role is ideal
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal abilities and IT capability
- High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
