We are working with a fantastic fashion company based in Leicester, who specialise in delivering trend-led, high-quality products for leading UK retailers. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented Designer / Account Manager across Womenswear to join their dynamic team. This hybrid role is perfect for someone with a strong creative eye who also enjoys working directly with customers, managing accounts, and driving product development from concept through to delivery. You will bring both design expertise and commercial awareness, confidently presenting to buyers, building relationships, and ensuring on-trend, well-executed collections that meet each retailer's brief.

Main responsibilities

  • Design and develop womenswear jersey ranges that reflect seasonal trends, brand direction, and customer needs.
  • Research trends, fabrics, colours, and new techniques to ensure collections are fashion-forward and competitive.
  • Create detailed CADs, tech packs, and design specifications for sampling and production.
  • Act as a customer-facing Account Manager, presenting concepts and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with buyers.
  • Work closely with garment tech, merchandisers, and production teams to ensure product accuracy and smooth progression through critical path.
  • Maintain constant awareness of competitors, high street influences, and emerging market trends.
  • Travel for inspiration trips, fabric sourcing, and customer meetings.
  • Oversee product development to ensure designs are delivered on time, commercially viable, and aligned with customer expectations.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in a womenswear design role within a fashion supplier or retailer.
  • Confident presenting to customers and managing accounts in a professional, solutions-driven manner.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible to travel when required for inspiration, sourcing, and customer meetings.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable attitude with a genuine passion for fashion and product.
