Our client is a leading ladieswear supplier, supplying to the UK's key High Street retailers. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a full time Senior Knitwear Designer to join their busy design team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced knitwear designer with a strong commercial eye and a passion for creating fashion-led, bestselling ranges. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with buyers.
Mainresponsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing knitwear ranges based on briefs for a number of key clients.
- Researching the latest fashion trends, producing trend boards and creating seasonal trend and directional reports, presenting these back to buyers.
- Working with buyers to produce bestselling styles.
- Liaising with overseas factories on a daily basis.
- Supporting the design team and being a key member of the team in creating commercial, fashion-led knitwear.
Person Specification
- Previous experience at mid to senior design level in a knitwear design role.
- Proficient in CAD and Illustrator.
- Confident presenting to buyers.
- Strong commercial eye, with the ability to interpret trends.
- Proactive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
