Senior Designer – Soft Wovens and Tailoring
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Designer with experience across woven multi-product. This role is to join a successful ladieswear supplier to large fashion retailers in the UK.
You\’d need to be ahead of the trends with a commercial and creative eye that can cover stand out woven product. You will be confident in communicating trends and designs to Buyers. Ideally you\’d have a young to mid-market handwriting and be highly organised with strong woven fabric knowledge and experience across soft wovens and tailoring.
This role is to work across successful and high-volume retailers and supermarkets, supplier experience preferable.
Main responsibilities will include:
Researching, developing and creating a market leading wovens range, selecting key seasonal shapes and fabrics.
Identifying and executing new product opportunities.
Building relationships with overseas factories.
Work closely and liaise with factories in Bangladesh.
Ability to create bestselling ranges.
Regular customer meetings and daily liaison with Buyers.
Presenting ranges to the customer and guide the Buyers on market trends.
Producing accurate and detailed CAD drawings and technical packs.
Overseeing development of all sampling ensuring deadlines are met.
Sourcing new fabrications, techniques and trim.
Person Specifications:
Strong organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Commercially savvy with excellent on-trend knowledge.
Confident when attending customer meetings.
