We are working with a well-established apparel business who are looking for a Clothing Technologist to join their growing team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where strong communication skills are essential, along with prior experience in a similar position. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, fit and performance of garments meets required standards across their core product ranges. Acting as a key point of contact for both customers and suppliers on all technical queries, you will oversee product testing, resolve technical issues, and work closely with design, development, and production teams to maintain and improve quality across the board. You must be currently living and working in the UK and have the right to work in the UK to be considered.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Create and manage quality assurance plans to align with business needs.
- Manage product testing processes and customer queries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Review and approve sealed samples, lab dips, size charts, and graded size sets.
- Maintain master swatch files and manage annual updates.
- Ensure factories meet quality and compliance standards (including SEDEX and BSCI).
- Liaise with internal teams on fit, size and performance issues, and lead on corrective action where needed.
- Maintain accurate records of QA, test reports and factory performance.
Person Specification:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a garment tech or QA role within fashion or apparel in the UK.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and fabric performance.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role with confident communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, solutions-driven and comfortable working at pace.
- Experience managing supplier relationships both in the UK and overseas.
