We are working with a highly successful and well-established supplier to several leading UK high street retailers, e-tailers and supermarkets. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a creative and commercially focused Ladies' Outerwear Designer to join their dynamic design team. This is a collaborative, hands-on role suited to someone with supplier experience who is confident working as part of a team and presenting to buyers when required. Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing commercial, trend-led ladies' outerwear collections, with a strong focus on casual styles
  • Working closely with buyers and internal teams to translate briefs into sell-ready designs aligned with market trends
  • Creating clear CADs, detailed tech packs and managing sample development through to approval
  • Producing seasonal trend research, mood boards and contributing fresh, innovative ideas
  • Collaborating effectively within a fast-paced, creative supplier environment

Person Specification

  • A strong portfolio showcasing commercial ladies' outerwear, including coats, jackets, parkas and lightweight styles
  • Proven experience working within a supplier or brand environment
  • Experience liaising with overseas factories, particularly in Vietnam, Bangladesh and China
  • Excellent knowledge of current trends, fabrics and garment construction
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office
  • A flexible, proactive team player with a hands-on, can-do approach
